He holds a Law degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), a Master’s in Constitutional Law from the Institute of Legal Sciences of Higher Studies, a Specialization in Private Financial Law from the National Commission for the Protection and Defence of Financial Services Users (CONDUSEF), and Diplomas in Constitutional Law from the Institute of Legal Sciences of Higher Studies, in Commercial Arbitration from Tecnológico de Monterrey, the Mexican Arbitration Centre (CAM), and the Mexican Bar Association.

With over 20 years’ experience in the bonds sector, he has represented bonds institutions and surety insurers, bondholders, and beneficiaries in various industries, including energy, infrastructure and construction, services, and government entities.

His advice on bonds comprehensively covers all the needs of those involved, from the feasibility assessment of issuing policies, tailoring of legal alternatives according to specific projects, the personalised drafting of bonds agreements (involving intermediaries, bonds companies, and beneficiaries), to the representation in prejudicial claims processes and judicial instances, including subrogation actions.

Among his notable achievements is the legal representation in the collection of the highest amount historically covered by a bonds company under a bond policy in Mexico.

Along his career, he has also advised bonds intermediaries in the design of dissemination and training strategies for their clients to advise on the appropriate management of this kind of guarantees.

As a result of his practice, he has extensive experience in the involvement and representation of public and private entities in the financial, construction, air transport, and consumer sectors, in prejudicial advice, encompassing legal risks assessment, as well as arbitrations, mediations, dispute resolution, and litigation, in civil, commercial, administrative, and constitutional matters.
